Troy & Bethany [4-24-09]

Troy and Bethany tied the knot last Friday on what was the warmest day of ‘09 thus far!  Nice blue skies, lovely breeze, and an absolutely FUN wedding party!  The day started out at Remembrance Church.  I ‘heart’ this church.  It is not only beautiful, but it has yummy natural light coming in from some huge side windows!  After the ‘I Do’s” were spoken, we headed to the party at Gracewil Country Club.  We squeezed in a few more pics as the sun was setting before heading in for some great food, music, and dancing!  Thanks Troy and Bethany for letting me be there for your special day!

Jake is now 14 months old!  I can’t believe it, where did the time go?  He is growing up SO fast.  I am really fortunate to have a job that I love and that also enables me to stay home with my kiddos!  It is such a blessing and I am enjoying every minute of every day!  Here is a look back at Jake this past year.  I can’t believe how much he has changed.  Look at that first picture…he doesn’t even look like the same baby.  I always stress to my clients the importance of getting their babies in within the first 2 weeks because they change so much, here is proof of that!

Kameron [4 years old]

Kameron is my nephew and one of the cutest kids I know, of course!  He turned 4 just the other day so we had to get some new pics of him.  Check out all this cuteness…

This couple is just so awesome…I mean, they did get me into the Frederik Meijer Gardens to photograph their engagement session after all!!  I’ve always wondered what it would be like to shoot there, but have never had the chance up until now and it was fabulous!  The lighting in the atrium where the butterflies were was just great!  It was a busy place so we had to work around loads of people, but it was SO worth it!  After visiting with the butterflies, we took a walk outside to find the waterfall that they are having their ceremony at in just ONE MONTH!!  It’s just gorgeous out there, I can’t wait until the big day.  The best part about doing an engagement session is that I get to know the couple a little bit more and at the same time they get a feel for how I work.  I don’t think Gerald had a clue what he was getting himself into and I was pretty tame with him.  It’s just a warm-up Gerald, you haven’t seen nothing yet!  Hehe  :)  Here you go guys, a little sneak peek…

Lydia [2009 Senior]

April 17, 2009

Blog1

Lydia’s mom contacted me a few weeks ago stating that she is the “ultimate procrastinator”, but none the less Lydia was graduating soon and still needed her senior pictures done.  She had seen some friends senior pictures I had done and wanted me to take hers as well.  What can I say…I’m glad she waited and found me!!  We started out at the studio and then headed to Grand Haven where Lydia and her mom had scouted out some cool spots!  We ended the session at the beach where Lydia so willingly layed in the freezing cold water for a few shots!!  Lydia was just a natural in front of the camera, and from what I understand she is pretty good behind the camera as well  :)
