Last Sunday I spent the day at the barn doing mini-sessions all day!  It turned out to be a great day for pics.  I had a lot of fun with all the families that came out…we ran through the field, jumped on my couch, and just plain had a good time!  Here are some of the highlights…and if you missed out this time around stay tuned for more mini-session specials in the future!

Lyla was in recently for her one year session and cake smash!  Can’t wait to meet her new baby sister or brother soon!

When Emily contacted me recently about doing her wedding next year she told me that she was pretty much planning her date around when I was available!!  Wow, I didn’t even know what to say.  Her cousin Becky is a good friend of mine and Emily has watched my work for a while now!  So when Dennis proposed to Emily just recently, Emily already knew I would be her photographer!  I met with Emily over coffee and she told me all about the details of her wedding and I must say I CANNOT WAIT!!  It sounds like it will be nothing short of fabulous.   And then there is Dennis, Emily’s face just lights up when she talks about him.  I couldn’t wait to finally meet him when we got together last week for their engagement pics!  We had a great time hitting up some favorite spots downtown GR and finding some new spots.  Thank you so much for a fun time, you guys are absoulutely perfect for each other!!  Enjoy your preview, the rest will be done soon!

Okay, there is a story behind this series of photos!  I asked Emily to give me a serious look.  Well…she doesn’t “do” serious really well because she can’t keep a straight face, she just cracks up laughing every time!  Too funny!!

Last week I met up with Danielle in Grand Haven for her senior session.  I had a lot of fun getting to know her…she is thinking about going to college for dental hygiene (my previous job)!  Whatever she decides I’m sure she will be great at it!  Thanks Danielle, enjoy your sneak peek!

This session was fun!  I always talk about how your senior pictures should reflect who you are and Matt definitely did it with style!  What a great guy…so fun, talented, and goofy (mom’s description)!!   Thanks Matt for a great session, I haven’t laughed that hard in a really long time!

Today’s session was with fellow photographer Amy!  I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous for this shoot!  There is a little bit of added pressure when you are shooting someone who is in the biz!  But at the same time I was honored that Amy chose me to take these pics!  I had a great time, Jason and Amy are SO cute together.  They have been married for a few years and needed some new pics, how fun!  I think all married couples should do this!  Thanks guys, enjoy your preview. 

Ohhh how I love babies!!  Especially little ones like baby Leah who let me just hang them from tree branches and crazy stuff like that!   She is the newest member of the first year baby plan, so you will be seeing much more of this little cutie!

Shelby is a senior at Fruitport High School and I met up with her and her mom earlier this week for her senior session!  We had a great time going around Grand Haven hitting up a few spots I haven’t been to yet!  Thanks Shelby (and mom, Christy) for choosing me to take your pics!!  I LOVE your haircolor btw…I think I am going to color my hair this exact color for fall! 

Marisa was in the studio last week for her one year photos and cake smashing!  I always love a good smashing and she did not disappoint!!

My baby is growing up way too fast!  It was drizzling out tonight and super cold but my hubby said pics in the corn field must happen NOW!  So…we loaded up all the kiddos just before dark and headed out there.  Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a “keeper” of all three of them but I did get this sweet shot of Jake!  Ahhhh…this kid just melts my heart.  I will be ordering this as a super big canvas for my living room
