Meet the newest baby plan member, Jack!  He did very well at his debut photo session, I can’t wait to see him again…what a cutie!

We attempted some traditional newborn poses, but Jack didn’t want to curl up.  We will call this one the “superman pose”.

This has got to be one of my favorite engagement sessions ever!  I just LOVE doing sessions in the snow and this couple was up for anything!  The day was perfect, little cold, but hey…what do you expect?  We hit the campus of Hope College and I love how the pictures turned out!  Thanks guys, can’t wait for your wedding in August (and it will be warm then)!

Jason and Elida were married on December 26, 2009 in Mexico!  They didn’t get many pictures from that day so they wanted to do a bridal session here when they got back home.  It was snowing like CRAZY the day of their session, and COLD!  But Jason and Elida were troopers and braved the snow and cold for some sweet shots!  After we were all pretty much numb we sneaked into a nearby church that was open to warm up.  The nice guy working there gave us permission to use the church for some more pics, perfect!  The lighting inside the church was gorgeous and we were able to get some nice shots there too.  Here are some of my favorites.   Thanks guys for allowing me to capture this special time for you!

I had a great time shooting Dylan and Nell’s engagement session downtown Grand Rapids recently.  This awesome couple is getting married next June at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park!  We braved the cold (and I got a parking ticket…boo), but we had a super fun time walking all over downtown and hitting up some fun spots!  Dylan and Nell drove all the way up from Virginia for their session and they said that Virginia actually had 2 ft of snow when they left!  But as you can see, we didn’t let the cold and snow get in our way.  It actually was a beautiful day with the sun shining!  Here are some of my favorites…

Dylan and Nell’s first date was at One Trick Pony, so we had to take a few pics there too!

Nell wanted some pictures without coats and gloves on so we went inside the Amway Grand and took some more pictures.  It felt SO nice to warm up!

This is Koen.  Little brother to big sister Lyla who just finished up her one year baby plan!  These parents are so blessed with two beautiful children who will keep them very busy I’m sure!  I look forward to watching Koen grow in the coming year!  Thanks again for choosing me to capture these precious times in your life.

This is Mocha.  She joined our family yesterday and, of course, had to have her first photo shoot today!  As a mother of three boys, I HAD to get a girl dog!  Bows to come soon…

Scott and Katie were married the day after Christmas at the always beautifully decorated Fredrik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.  It was a perfect day for a winter wedding, snow and all!  Some of you will recognize Katie, she is one of my second photographers for weddings!  It was her turn to be on the other side of the camera for a change!  Here are some highlights from their perfect day!
